Christmas time!

I finally finished the challenge, so I guess I shall talk about our Christmas!

Every year on December 24th, our family gets together to spend Christmas eve. We all stay at our Grandma's house, bringing gifts for each other. (*^ワ^*) ! My cousins and I were going to exchange gifts like we always did when we were younger. The adults don't usually take part. They only give when they feel like it, unlike ours. I had bought a gift for the youngest member of the family yet! SHH. I bought him a helicopter toy. I hope he likes it!

We still had the over-the-top dinner. Each of my aunties and uncles brought food, and we just eat them all together! There were a lot more healthier food since the adults are becoming even more self conscious than they were before. (>y<)We had the usual rounds of picture taking too. As you can see, we're not the kids we were before!

When we were younger, the grown ups used to hold kiddie games for us after dinner. Now that we're older, I guess you can say that we've outgrown that. It's almost impossible to play newspaper dance, and every other game is just embarrassing. In the end, we were talking and joking around with each other. We watched movies, or whatever seemed interesting on TV.

We took pictures and stuff like that!

After a few hours of all things random, we decided to try out the sky lanterns we bought. We all went outside, excited and ignorant of how to do it ourselves. The first trial was a complete waste! (ノ>▽<。)ノ It burned when we lit it. Bye bye, 150! We had to extinguish it immediately. The second was better. We only tried out three first, and decided to continue it after midnight.

Everyone continued what they were doing earlier, until it was 11 in the evening. The movies were getting boring, and we were running out of things to do. Our youngest cousin was already complaining, saying that he wanted to open his presents. He also wanted to sleep if it wasn't happening. Seeing that our youngest was simply the cutest, the adults immediately complied. Thus, the official exchanging of gifts commenced!(≧∇≦)

Our uncle also gave us bonuses (in case you didn't notice the envelopes on the tree). Additional income for us! Wanna know how much it contained? BLEH! I'd rather not say it, in case one of you would ask for LIBRE. Here is my picture with him! I can't believe I wore a mini skirt that day.

So on and so forth! I opened the gift, and found a bag! I was actually thinking of buying one, since my old bag is getting too dirty. I'm being a lazy bum about it, and avoided washing it. Everyone seemed to enjoy their gifts. There was laughter in the air, and grumbles from the grown ups who complained to not receive anything. OH NO! Suddenly, my uncle felt an intense pain in his stomach!

The oldies went with him to the hospital for a check up, leaving the youngsters behind with the camera. (*≧▽≦)ノシ)) We didn't want to mope around waiting for them. We had mini photo shoots! It was midnight, and the adults still weren't back. We went on to light the sky lanterns and it was simply amazing!

After five minutes, the others came back. Everything seemed to be okay since they didn't look morbid at all. We ate some more and eventually went home to our respective houses. I surprised my family by giving them gifts too! They were nothing that special. I bought my mom some shades, my sister a watch, and my brother rings.

Thus ended the happy Christmas. How about yours?

How was your Christmas? \(^▽^*)

NIce. Seems like you had a great time. We used to do that before, but well, things were not the same like that.

Anyway, we are the oldest in the family, and we have like three cousins only so we're not that big as yours.

Btw, check out my blog for our ongoing giveaway http://www.pixiechronicle.com/2012/12/pixiechroniclecom-new-year-giveaway-2013.html
