The rest of those days

Image
After Viel's Debut, I ended up back in our house. Vacations are the only time I can really rest, since my course requires mind blowing efforts. Like any normal teenager, I was on the internet a lot. I spent time with my cousins goofing around. I watched television. I went out with my family to watch movies (The Strangers is a respectable enough film). Basically, everything was smooth. The highlights of the rest of the days were: New Year's Eve Celebration and GATB Meet-up/First Day of School/ Thursday Madness. I will talk about all that in this post, to make up for my extended disappearance in the blogging community. NEW YEARS EVE Remember when I said that our family liked to celebrate every holiday together at my Grandma's? Well, obviously New Year's Eve was no exception. This time, we didn't have gifts in hand. However, we had our pouches ready. We were getting ready for-- I'll talk about that later. We bought food to share, and so did everyone else in t...

Marry you ~

Image
20. Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future Practice smiling. Got it. Needless to say, I see myself being with Fido in the future. We've managed to go this long, so we can't possibly give up this journey so easily. I guess it would be nice to marry him, but that isn't much of a priority right now so I wouldn't dwell on that fact much. It's just funny though how he tries to persuade me to marry him before I turn thirty. Am I seriously going to be that OLD AND WRINKLY? >.> He tried to bargain, and I gradually agreed to 'marry' at twenty six. Seems to be fair enough. I don't really know what else to say. I guess he's a good guy. Sure we had our differences and bitter fights, but we managed to cross the bridge. In the future, I'm sure we can cross more bridges if we just talk it out and hear each other. For me, what we have at the moment is enough. He makes me laugh, kisses me on the forehead, says he's ...

Thursday Madness (Picture Post)

the GRAND OPENING of THURSDAY MADNESS Last Thursday, we had the first of our many Thursday Madness. First stop was Greenwich, Limketkai Center. The chosen specialty dish was Ultimate Hawaiian Overload! Fido wanted the 12'' one, so I kinda went along with it even if I kinda wanted the one with chicken. Hm. There is something wrong with me and chickens lately. We had that and a pitcher of cold ice tea. I'm sure the cashier was shocked that it would only be the two of us dining. Here is the boy after ordering the pizza. As you can see, he's a little bit too excited for it. AHA! The 12'' pizza arrives, and I gotta admit that I thought it would be bigger. With the pizza comes the iced tea ! This is how a slice of overload looks like. It looks yummier in person, but the camera doesn't want to capture its cheesy essence. It looks very dry here. Fido just finished putting our first slice. Being the innate gentleman that he is, he pu...

The Food Chronicles

For those who don't know this, being in a long term relationship entails at some point you run out of new things to do together. Watching movies together, taking walks together, going home together, playing computer games together. . It starts to get normal after, I dont know. . Four years maybe? All that lovey dovey stuff is not going to be enough to keep young hearts entertained. Anyways, it's hard to look for a hobby as a couple. We, at some desperate point, even tried making a notebook, like a GATB notebook. Not once, but twice! We even tried to make letters for each other, which I admit is pretty gay. We also tried having MMK dates, via texting. Lame, lame, lame. Every fun hobby seems to be only good for one. So one afternoon and a pizza, we cooked up a delicious idea! Haha. Cooked up. We decided to have food marathons (ADVENTURES OF FOOD BOY & GIRL), as we ate a slice of pizza from a Greenwich take-out stand. Actually, we just wanted to buy one whole pizza ...

Fourty-two

Image
@ Doshia's 17th Birthday Love doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be true. Okay. That might not be the best picture for us, but I recently realized that we don't have many pictures together. It might be because I don't like having my picture taken, and he doesn't too. I guess it's something we can agree on. Now, fourty-two months is quite a long time for any couple in a relationship. If I recall, I was just about fifteen then. He was about sixteen or so. We were young, just two kids in love who didn't know how demanding a committed relationship was. We didn't care then, so we had to learn the hard way. In those years we've been together, there were too many ups and downs in our relationships. The rush of reality was so overwhelming. Lies, insecurities, jealousy and even the point of obsession were thrown at us far too many times. It seemed like an endless battle, but I knew deep down. . It was all going to be fine. I just hadn't re...
